About Lacy Bird

A modern floral house

since 2012

Founded in 2012 by Sofya Veyber and headquartered in Dubai, Lacy Bird is an internationally recognised floral house — flower-delivery studios in Dubai and Astana, a professional academy, and a global schedule of masterclasses.

Our story

From one studio

to a global academy

Lacy Bird began as a floral design studio in 2012 and has grown into an international brand spanning bouquet delivery in Dubai and Astana, event decor, and a professional academy. Our approach — modern floral design — combines commercial discipline with an unmistakable aesthetic: soft palettes, generous shapes, and details borrowed from fashion and interior design. Since launching the Academy in 2016 we have taught more than 12,000 florists across three permanent locations and dozens of touring masterclasses.

To raise the standard of modern floristry worldwide — through daily commercial work, teaching, and the working community we build around it.

Timeline

Key moments

in Lacy Bird's story

  1. 2012

    Lacy Bird is founded

Sofya Veyber opens the first Lacy Bird flower studio, setting the aesthetic principles that will define the brand: modern silhouettes, restrained palettes, and a commercial approach to design.

  2. 2016

    Lacy Bird Academy launches

The studio's teaching practice is formalised as Lacy Bird Academy — a curriculum built around what actually works in the flower rooms, not textbook theory.

  3. Today

    A global floral house

12,000+ florists trained, three permanent academies in Dubai, Astana, and Mexico City, and a year-round schedule of masterclasses across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

What we believe

Four principles

behind every course, bouquet, and workshop

Commercial before decorative

We teach floristry the way working studios actually run it — pricing, timing, seasonal supply, and the discipline behind an aesthetic. Beautiful is table stakes; a bouquet has to sell, ship, and last.

A recognisable house style

Modern floral design is not a trend we follow — it is the language we shaped. Soft palettes, generous shapes, restrained details. Our alumni take that language and make it their own.

Taught by working florists

Every teacher at the academy is a working practitioner — running deliveries, weddings, and events alongside their teaching. No permanent classroom theorists.

Global, in three languages

Programmes are delivered in English, Spanish, and Russian across our three permanent academies and touring masterclasses. One curriculum, adapted to local supply and taste.
