Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 12 October 2026

These Terms are a legal agreement between you and Lacy Bird International L.L.C-FZ ("Lacy Bird", "we", "us"). We run two brands that share one account: Florist Circles — the community platform at lacybird.com/floristcircles and in the Florist Circles apps — and Lacy Bird Academy — our floral design school, whose courses, live sessions and events are delivered on the platform. By creating an account or using the services you accept these Terms, the Community Rules, the Privacy Policy, the Payment Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Cookie Policy.

1. Who we are

The services are provided by Lacy Bird International L.L.C-FZ (Formation No. 2204627, licence No. 2204627.01), Business Center 1, M Floor, The Meydan Hotel, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Florist Circles and Lacy Bird Academy are brands of the same company, so one account gives you access to both: the community (circles, feed, chats, calls, profiles) and the school (courses, lessons, live sessions, certificates).

Some circles and courses may be run by independent experts or partner schools. When you enrol in a course of a partner school, that school also becomes responsible for its course, and its own terms, shown on the course page, apply in addition to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • You must be able to enter into a binding agreement and comply with the laws of the country you are in.
  • You may hold only one personal account. Brand or studio accounts are allowed only with our approval.

3. Your account

  • Sign in with your email (a one-time code), Google or Apple. Use your real first and last name.
  • Keep access to your email secure — whoever has it can sign in. You are responsible for activity in your account; tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • Administrators and moderators of the platform must use two-factor authentication.
  • Your access is personal and cannot be transferred, sold or shared.

4. Community and moderation

Florist Circles is a professional community. Everyone must follow the Community Rules and the Acceptable Use Policy. Circle owners and moderators can approve posts before they are published (post approval), remove content and remove members from their circles; we can do so on the whole platform.

Some accounts are AI content agents run by us or by brands (for example, product accounts). They are always marked "AI" and never pretend to be people.

5. Your content

You keep the rights to what you publish (posts, photos, video notes, comments, messages, portfolio, homework). You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, translate, adapt for display and distribute it within the services so that the people you share it with can see it, and to show posts from public circles on the open web if you allow it in your settings. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies others have already legitimately shared (for example, quotes in replies) and backups for up to 30 days.

You confirm that you have the right to publish your content and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights. Publish only photos and videos you made or have permission to use, and get consent from people who appear in them.

6. Courses, live sessions and events

  • Each course, live session or event has a page with what is included, the access period and the price (or "free"). That page is part of your agreement for that course.
  • Course materials (videos, texts, templates) are for your personal learning only. Do not copy, record, resell or share them, and do not share your access with others.
  • Free access periods (for example, 30 days) end automatically. Recordings of live sessions are available for the time stated in the session.
  • Certificates are issued when the conditions of the specific course are met.
  • Live sessions may be recorded and shown to participants; if you turn on your camera or microphone, you agree to appear in the recording.

7. Payments

Purchases of courses, mentoring, event tickets and products are governed by the Payment Terms. Prices are shown before you pay; payments are processed by Stripe (and for some offers by GetCourse).

8. Messages from us

  • Service messages are part of the service and come from Florist Circles and Lacy Bird Academy: sign-in codes, tickets, reminders about sessions you registered for, course access, replies and mentions, account and security notices. They arrive by email, WhatsApp (if you confirm your number) and push notifications.
  • By creating an account, you agree to receive news, new courses and offers from Florist Circles and Lacy Bird Academy by email. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in the email or in Profile → Notifications; service messages keep arriving.
  • You can tune push notifications and the digest in Profile → Notifications.

9. Intellectual property

The services, the Florist Circles and Lacy Bird names and logos, the design, course materials and our content belong to us or our licensors. These Terms do not give you any right to use them beyond normal use of the services.

If you believe content on the services infringes your rights, write to hello@floristcircles.com with a link to the content and proof of your rights; we will review it promptly and remove infringing content.

10. Third-party services

The services use third-party providers (listed in the Privacy Policy) and may link to other websites. Their terms apply to your use of them; we are not responsible for third-party websites.

11. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Settings. We may restrict, suspend or close an account, with or without notice, if it breaks these Terms, the Community Rules or the law, endangers other users, or is used for fraud. If we close your account for a breach, paid access may end without a refund, except where the law requires otherwise.

12. Disclaimer

We work hard to keep the services available, accurate and safe, but they are provided "as is" and "as available". Floristry results depend on your practice, materials and conditions; we do not guarantee specific results or income. Content posted by other users is their responsibility.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for claims and costs caused by your content or by your breach of these Terms or the law.

15. Changes

We may update these documents. We will publish the new version with its date and notify you of important changes by email or in the services. If you keep using the services after the changes take effect, you accept them; if you do not agree, you can delete your account.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. Before going to court, write to us — most issues are solved within days. Disputes that cannot be settled are resolved by the competent courts of Dubai. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

These documents are published in English and Arabic. If the versions differ, the English version prevails, unless the law of the United Arab Emirates requires otherwise.
