On the second week of November, the touring class came home. This edition ran across three days at the Lacy Bird studio in Dubai, the house's own rooms and academy, and the hardest flower climate it teaches in. The space is plain and generous: white walls, pale benches, grey aprons, ribbon printed over and over with the academy's initials. Buckets of hydrangea, delphinium and garden roses stood waiting in glass, secateurs and a knife laid out beside a hatbox, and the autumn palette declared itself early in rust and apricot and clear lilac.
The flowers were the season's own. Anthurium did most of the talking, its waxy hearts ranging from a green-flushed blush to a deep magenta, set against the burnt orange of pincushion protea and the loose, generous heads of garden roses. Around them the class worked in trailing amaranthus, blue delphinium, eucalyptus and long arcs of red rosehip berry, letting stems break outward rather than tuck in tidily.
Over the three days the group ran the full composition system, from box arrangements built at the bench to a tall standing installation. Two moods emerged: the smoky, autumnal orange of the big bouquets, and a softer register of lavender, butter-yellow and pale hydrangea packed into hatboxes. The instructor taught with a microphone in hand, laughing mid-sentence.
It closed the way these things should. Students carried their finished work out to the studio street, holding armfuls of flowers taller than their heads against the grey slatted buildings, each arrangement unmistakably its maker's own.

The three days
Every touring edition runs the same Lacy Bird programme, rebuilt around the local market's flowers:
- Day one — colour theory and the house palette, the composition system, the boxed arrangement and the round commercial bouquet.
- Day two — the spreading bouquet, wrapping and presentation, and a professional photoshoot of every participant's finished work.
- Day three — large-scale event decor and installation, the business of floristry, and certificates.
