15–17 August 2025 — Berlin, Germany — the first German edition of the touring programme.
Berlin gave the touring programme its first German outing, three days in mid-August worked, as promised, in pink and sunflower. The room was a plain, light-filled studio — painted columns, pale plank floors, white plinths and a scatter of open wirework spheres that doubled as sculpture and, later, as seats. It read as a blank page, which is rather the point when the flowers are meant to do the talking.
The palette was warmer and more mischievous than pink alone suggests. Buckets of blush hydrangea and mauve garden roses stood alongside red-eyed sunflowers, lime-green dianthus, magenta calla, snapdragon and gerbera. Much of the first stretch went into building a pair of mirrored arch installations against the wall, the whole cohort working at once — one on a stepladder feeding greenery into the crown, others kneeling to bed roses and sunflowers into moss and trailing feather-grass at the base.
From the large work the class narrowed to the intimate: soft box arrangements in dusty-pink velvet, hydrangea and garden roses laced with snapdragon and those little nodding pink nerine stems, each one carried to the window or a plinth to be admired. The showpiece was a long table draped in burgundy satin, where sunflowers, green dianthus and mauve roses spilled into a heap of whole and halved kiwi fruit — an unexpected, faintly witty centrepiece that leaned autumnal against the deep red cloth.
It closed the way these editions tend to, warmly and without much ceremony: the Berlin group gathered with their blue academy folders, certificates in hand, in front of that same burgundy backdrop.

The three days
Every touring edition runs the same Lacy Bird programme, rebuilt around the local market's flowers:
- Day one — colour theory and the house palette, the composition system, the boxed arrangement and the round commercial bouquet.
- Day two — the spreading bouquet, wrapping and presentation, and a professional photoshoot of every participant's finished work.
- Day three — large-scale event decor and installation, the business of floristry, and certificates.
