Conditioning, step by step
Cut stem ends on a sharp angle and strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline. Give a long, deep drink in cool water for a few hours before designing, as woody stems take time to hydrate. Store in a cool room around 2-4°C; the aromatic oils keep the foliage fresh but the small leaves will shed if allowed to dry out.
